Overnight camps

Camp overview

The Hawkesbury region is renowned for its ancient geography and its diverse, unique mix of landscapes.

A visit to Brewongle will leave you with lifelong memories of the beautiful scenery, the historic 1878 school setting, the Hawkesbury River and surrounding forests, and fresh food you can enjoy straight from the garden.

As a NSW Department of Education facility, Brewongle EEC is able to offer low cost, 2 or 3 day camping programs for both primary and secondary students. These programs provide a unique blend of curriculum-based environmental, historical, and cultural learning experiences that utilise the diverse attractions, quality facilities, and natural habitats of the surrounding Hawkesbury region.

We also have a published Google Site with additional camp information, including photos, social stories and soundscapes. You can find a thorough overview of all our camp details here - Camps at Brewongle

Kayaking

Most camp programs include kayaking on the beautiful Dyarubbin - the Hawkesbury River. Please be aware when booking a camp that students must meet certain prerequisites and experience requirements to participate in the kayaking activity.

Visiting teachers and schools must familiarise themselves with the updated  NSW Department of Education School Sport Unit: Canoeing - Recreational  guidelines.
