Professional learning
Professional learning overview
At Brewongle Environmental Education Centre, we support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality, engaging learning experiences for students from Kindergarten to Year 12. Our team of qualified and experienced educators brings specialised expertise across a variety of fields. We maintain strong partnerships with local Dharug educators, curriculum advisers, and university academics to enrich our programs.
What We Offer
Brewongle provides professional development opportunities for your school staff, available either onsite at the centre or at your school during staff meetings, professional development days, or programming days. Selected Brewongle courses can also be booked on specific dates for whole-school staff participation.
Who Can Attend
Brewongle’s teacher professional learning is designed primarily for NSW teachers. Some courses are tailored specifically for primary or secondary educators. We welcome NSW Department of Education teachers, school administrators as well as teachers from Independent and Catholic schools.
Our professional learning programs include kayaking on the beautiful Dyarubbin - the Hawkesbury River. Please be aware when booking a session, attendees must meet certain prerequisites and experience requirements to participate in the kayaking activity.
Visiting teachers and schools must familiarise themselves with the updated NSW Department of Education School Sport Unit: Canoeing - Recreational guidelines.
The program can be adjusted to exclude kayaking if necessary.
