Program overview
Students will learn about the local Dharug culture during a full day spent Connecting to Country. They will undertake a bush resource walk to discover traditional Dharug uses of native plants. Students will experience the use of ochre and traditional symbols for storytelling, participate in Indigenous games, and watch a story come to life on canvas through coloured sands and Aboriginal symbols.

Bush resource walk Students go on a bush walk to locate bush resources and learn about the use of native plants for medicine, tool making and food. Students learn to count in Dharug language. |

Buses are booked by the visiting school. A map to the bus parking will be sent with the schools confirmation email. Please ensure you print the map and give to the bus driver the morning of the excursion. |
