Secondary programs by learning area
At Brewongle Environmental Education Centre, we offer engaging, curriculum-linked excursions, incursions and camps for students from Stage 4 through to Stage 6 (Year 7 to Year 12). Our programs are designed to bring learning to life through authentic, hands-on experiences across a range of Key Learning Areas. With programs developed and delivered by our team of qualified teachers and experienced environmental educators, students can explore, investigate and connect their classroom learning with the natural and cultural environment of Brewongle.
Aboriginal Culture
Brewongle offers authentic, age-appropriate Aboriginal cultural learning experiences that provide students with opportunities to connect with Dharug Country, culture, stories and traditional knowledge. Programs are delivered with the involvement of Aboriginal Cultural Educators or Aboriginal Education Teachers wherever possible, supporting students to develop a deeper understanding of the enduring connection between Aboriginal people and Country.

Biology
Brewongle’s Biology programs provide students with hands-on opportunities to investigate living organisms, ecosystems and ecological processes in authentic outdoor environments. Through fieldwork, observation, data collection and practical investigations, students develop scientific inquiry skills and connect classroom learning with real-world biological systems.

Earth and Environmental Science
Brewongle’s Earth & Environmental Science programs provide students with hands-on opportunities to investigate Earth systems, natural environments, environmental change and sustainability. Through fieldwork, practical investigations and real-world experiences, students develop scientific inquiry and data collection skills while exploring the dynamic relationship between people and the environment.

Geography
Brewongle’s Geography programs provide students with authentic, hands-on opportunities to investigate places, environments, landscapes and human interactions with the world around them. Through fieldwork, observation, mapping and practical investigations, students develop geographical skills while connecting classroom learning to real-world environments, Country and sustainability.

Leadership and teambuilding
Brewongle’s leadership and team building programs challenge students to communicate, collaborate, problem-solve and build confidence in a supportive outdoor environment. Through practical challenges and shared experiences, students develop leadership skills, resilience, teamwork and positive relationships, with programs tailored to suit the age, needs and goals of each group.

Science
Brewongle’s Science programs provide students with engaging, hands-on opportunities to investigate, experiment, observe and problem-solve in an authentic outdoor learning environment.
