Learning programs

Brewongle Environmental Education Centre, located in Sackville North, NSW (North West Sydney), is a NSW Department of Education Environmental Education Centre. We deliver high-quality, hands-on, curriculum-based programs led by qualified teachers, including excursions, incursions, and overnight camps for Early Stage 1 to Stage 6 (Kindergarten to Year 12) students, as well as professional learning opportunities for teachers and support staff from all NSW schools.

Primary excursions

Early Stage 1 - Stage 3 (Kindergarten to Year 6) excursions offering engaging, curriculum-aligned learning across multiple KLAs, combining fieldwork, hands-on activities, and immersive experiences in nature to deepen students’ understanding through real-world exploration.

Secondary excursions

Stage 4 - Stage 6 (Year 7 to Year 12) excursions providing curriculum-aligned learning for high school students with a strong focus on fieldwork, inquiry-based investigations, and hands-on experiences in nature, supporting deeper understanding through real-world data collection and analysis.

Incursions

School-based incursions for Pre-school – Stage 6 (Pre-school to Year 12) bringing Brewongle learning to your school site, with a strong focus on Aboriginal culture, immersive storytelling, and hands-on experiences that connect students to Country, culture, and community.

Overnight camps

Affordable one or two night camp programs for primary and secondary students (Kindergarten to Year 12), including low cost specialty overnight experiences that combine outdoor learning, hands-on activities, and meaningful opportunities for connection, collaboration, and personal growth.

High potential and gifted education (HPGE) and targeted specialised programs

Enrichment days and camps with targeted, specialised programs designed to enhance and develop the abilities of high potential and gifted (HPGE) students in primary and secondary schools through engaging, high-quality learning experiences.

Professional learning

Staff development days and professional learning sessions focused on staff wellbeing, connection, and culture, using the natural Brewongle environment to inspire reflection, collaboration, and rejuvenation.
