This excursion is designed for stage 3 students. It engages students in hands on learning where they can learn to master (or just attempt) traditional skills.
Students take a short guided bushwalk to learn about the role of fire in our local bush, before attempting to make fire with firesticks. They examine a range of traditional tools and weapons, as well as trying their hands at spear and boomerang throwing.
Maximum 4 classes per day.

We sincerely acknowledge Aboriginal Elders past, present and emerging - the masters of sustainability. We thank the Elders and knowledge-holders who've shared with us, and those we work and connect with at Brewongle. We endeavour to continue to connect with Darug land and build her connection with our students.
